The National Museum of African American History and Culture’s Robert F. Smith Center for the Digitization and Curation of the African American History (the Smith Center) helps open the doors of the Museum beyond the National Mall. Through our four components: the Community and Professional Curation projects, the Internship and Fellowship program, and the on-site Family History Center (FHC), the Center works with institutions, communities, and families across the country to make history more accessible and preserve local stories.

We'd like to invite you to take a more intimate look at each of our components. Follow along as we share pictures and videos from the museum, the road, and the digital space! Questions? Email NMAAHC-Community@si.edu.
